Isaiah 41:9
“You are My Servant,
I have chosen you and have not cast you away.”

You are too blessed to be stressed. Start your day with a smile. God has chosen you; you are His servant. When you receive the grace of God in your heart, its purpose is to make you God’s servant. You may be an unprofitable servant, you may be an unfaithful servant, nevertheless, you are still His servant. You wear His name, you feed at His table, and you obey His commands. Although you were once a servant of sin, God has taken you into His family. Not only does God call you servant, but His chosen servant— “You are my servant, I have chosen you.”

God gives grace to the humble. It is only because of grace that you are God’s servant, for you were not always so. You did not choose God; God has chosen you. The sovereign God of creation called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. He declared, “I have chosen you.” Before the beginning of time or space, God wrote your name upon His heart. Before He hung the stars in the sky, He predestined you to be conformed into the image of His Son, He ordained you to be an heir to the fullness of His love, grace, and glory.

Oh, how awesome is the love of God! He has chosen you. You are God’s servant. He knew how stiff-necked you were, He understood that your heart was evil, yet He chose to love you. Our God is unlike us in every way. He is not captivated for a while by our worship and then cast us away because of our unfaithfulness. Because of His faithfulness, He says, “I have chosen you and I have not cast you away.” Our God is faithful. If you trust Him, He will deliver you., for you are His chosen. He will love you forever and never cast you away.
