The angel of the Lord is always with us, for the Bible says, “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them. The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are open to their cry” (Psalm 34:7,15).
Trying to sleep at night can be difficult. That’s because the enemy sometimes interrupts our sleep with false accusations. But rather than think on the words of the enemy, begin to praise God. Tell Him how good He has been to you. Let the Lord know how grateful you are to be on the receiving end of His salvation. Think about the many times that the Lord has been your refuge and your fortress; how He has been your help in needy times. Let your nights be filled with thoughts of reverencing God; for the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
All things are not as they appear. You may feel alone, but the angel of the Lord encamps all around you whenever you reverence God. And because He loves you, He sends angels to deliver you. Your tears may be falling for a night, but God will turn them into tears of joy in the morning.
By faith you are made righteous, Tonight, lay down in confidence, trusting and believing that God will come to your rescue, and in the morning when you rise you will see the goodness of God. Now bless His name, for He has heard you, and He will deliver you this very night.
Heavenly Father, I thank You for sending your angels to watch over me this night. Although I can’t see my way through this night, I thank You for your protection dear God. And although I don’t know what You are doing in my life, I trust that You will make all things work together for my good. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
