Faith Speaks
For most people, the first thing to come to mind upon hearing the word “salvation” is deliverance from hell. It is translated in the Greek Bible as the noun Soteria (so-tay-ree’-ah). It covers a wide spectrum of deliverance that includes health, wealth, healing, prosperity, peace, and joy. In Luke 1:69, 71, and Acts 7:25, it denotes national safety.
When used as a verb, salvation is translated Sozo “to save,” from danger (Matthew 8:25 and Mark 13:20); from evil (2 Timothy 4:18); from sickness (Matthew 9:22).
The gospel is the saving instrument of salvation to anyone who believes (Romans 1:16; Ephesians 1:13). It is God’s power that is present to deliver from bondage.
Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone. No amount of work can earn salvation. We stand justified before God only by faith in Jesus Christ. Nothing else can save us from the wrath of God which is to come upon the earth. God grants spiritual and eternal deliverance immediately to anyone who accepts His conditions of repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12) and confesses that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:10).
Salvation comes through faith. You can receive salvation today. The Bible says that the word of faith is in your mouth and in your heart. All you have to do is confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth. Then believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:8-10).
