Confidence in God

confidence in god

Confidence comes from the Latin word “fidere’,” and it means to “trust”. It gives us the feeling or belief that we can rely on someone or something with firm trust it is the state of feeling certain about the truth of something. As it relates to God, both of these definitions define the feelings we have toward Him. When we have confidence in God, we exhibit faith in Him, giving us self-assurance that He will perform that which He says.

Confidence also works to increase our faith, which in turn acts to build hope in God. We then become confident in His word and the truth it offers. For example, God’s word says when our life is over here on this earth, we will live again. Faith has given us the confidence to trust what He says as truth.
