Confidence comes from the Latin word “fidere’,” and it means to “trust”. It gives us the feeling or belief that we can rely on someone or something with firm trust it is the state of feeling certain about the truth of something. As it relates to God, both of these definitions define the feelings we have toward Him. For example, God’s word says when our life is over here on this earth, we will live again. Faith has given us the confidence to trust what He says as truth.
