Colossians 1:13-14
He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins
God delivered us from the darkness of this present age. The Old Testament prophet Isaiah prophesied: “For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people. But the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you” (Isaiah 60:2). I believe you and I are literally living this prophecy today as love grows cold and evil people grow worse.
The Diving Exchange
Satan is the power behind this evil and abhorrent wickedness. The Bible calls him the prince of darkness. He also, walks around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). But praise God; God delivered us from the darkness. Satan’s evil reign of power ended when Jesus defeated and disarmed the rulers of darkness at the cross. A divine exchange took place at the cross. The Bible says God made Jesus who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). So, how did Chris become sin? Christ did not commit sin to become sin. He willingly received our sin in His body. Therefore, to become righteous, we only have to believe in Christ and receive His righteousness.
Consequently, if you have faith, your faith must speak because believing faith speaks. Throughout the day you should thank God. He has delivered us from the power of the darkness of this age. Therefore, be of good cheer for God is with you. Whatever you need deliverance from, trust that God is faithful and just to deliver you.
Lord, I thank You that I am delivered from the power of darkness. I am the righteousness of God in Christ. I thank You Father that I am free to live the victorious life of the righteous.
