Also known as COVID-19, coronavirus, is a contagious disease that is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome. The first case of COVID-19 was identified In Wuhan, China in December of 2019.

COVID-19 has since spread worldwide and has reached epidemic proportions. The disease is transmitted by coughing, sneezing, singing, and breathing.

Coronavirus’ incubation period is fourteen days with a median time of four to five days of exposure. People who are infected with COVID-19 often develop symptoms within eleven days of exposure. However, most symptomatic people will develop symptoms within two to seven days of infection.

COVID-19 symptoms may include fever, cough, fatigue, breathing difficulties, and loss of smell and taste.
